The Town of South Kingstown is seeking sealed proposals for the renovation of the Peace Dale Library and the creation of the Community Learning Center. The project includes the transformation of the second-floor balcony into an open public workspace, restoration and modernization of the second floor of the Old Main Reading Room, creation of two flexible meeting rooms and one larger classroom space, and the addition of the CLC Paramedic Office. The project is funded in part by the American Rescue Plan Act Coronavirus Capital Projects Fund (CPF) Community Learning Center (CLC) Municipal Grant. The successful bidder must comply with all state laws related to state-funded construction projects and federal laws, including Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968.
