Description:
The City of Aurora is seeking a Public Safety Inventory Management System (IMS) to replace the current system used by the Aurora Police Department. The new system should provide standardization of procedures to manage APD inventory, accurate inventory tracking, and the ability to assign items using a "Parent / Child" concept. The system should also provide adequate system controls for documenting and archiving the trading, transferring, or disposal of items. The City requires a modern, vendor-supported, SaaS solution that meets the City's requirements through configuration changes, with little or no custom software development required. • The system should track the entire lifecycle of an asset from purchase to disposal. • The system should utilize the same application functionality on mobile and tablet devices to streamline inventory management. • The system should be aligned with documented Aurora Police Department Directives and Standard Operating Procedures for inventory handling. • The system should automate and standardize the receipt and assignment of purchased inventory into the IMS. • The system should allow APD staff to conduct accurate, efficient periodic inventory by divisions, teams, and units within APD. • The system should assist with ensuring that policy and procedure requirements for completing an inventory and sending the results to the assigned or other responsible unit are met. • The system should provide reporting and dashboard functionality. • The system should provide strong security of information. The City also requires a complete project management plan and team, a complete data migration plan, an assessment of current processes, and the introduction of best practices in inventory management. A training program and service agreement are also required.
