The Altadena Library District is seeking construction services for the renovation of the Altadena Main Library. The project includes a comprehensive renovation of the approximately 25,000 sf library structure and the addition of approximately 650 sf entry lobby. The scope of work includes reconfiguration of interior spaces, accessibility upgrades, seismic upgrades, new mechanical systems, electrical and lighting upgrades, AV/IT upgrades, new fire protection and suppression systems, hazardous material abatement, storefront window and door replacement, roof replacement, and new outdoor gathering spaces. • The project requires a contractor to perform pre-construction tasks, including submittal review and procurement of long lead items, mobilization, site investigation, and other activities prior to the issuance of the Conditional Use Permit (CUP). • The contractor must comply with prevailing wage requirements and obtain necessary permits and licenses. • The project includes the installation of various audio-visual systems, including ceiling speakers, projection screens, and display systems. • The contractor must ensure that all work is completed within 487 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. • The project requires the contractor to provide a letter of bondability as part of the proposal package.
