The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is seeking a contractor to provide technical assistance and support for current and future Green Schoolyards grantees. The contractor will be responsible for providing all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees to support the Green Schoolyards project. The project aims to increase nature and nature-based learning in schools. The contractor must possess one of the following licenses: Landscape Architect, Urban/City Planner, Architect, or Structural Engineer, and have at least 10 years of relevant experience in designing school sites with a focus on nature and nature-based learning. • The contractor must provide experts with at least 15 years of experience in environmental education and curriculum development with a focus on nature-based, hands-on learning. • The contractor must provide experts with at least 10 years of relevant experience working with underserved communities. • The contractor must provide experts with at least 10 years of landscape design experience working with school districts. • The contractor must provide licensed architectural and/or structural engineering experts with at least 20 years of experience in designing large- and small-scale projects.
