The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) is seeking proposals from qualified individuals and firms to provide peer assistance services to Emergency Medical Service (EMS) providers in the state of Colorado. The services will include education, evaluation, treatment, and referral for physical, emotional, and psychological conditions. The selected provider will be added to a pre-qualified list and will be used as needed for these services. The contract will have an initial term of one year, with the option to renew for up to four additional one-year periods, not to exceed five years total. • The proposal should include an organizational summary, experience and qualifications summary, project work plan, and budget. • The proposer should have a minimum of five years of experience providing mental health services, with at least one year of experience providing services to first responders, military personnel, or similar professions. • The proposer should be licensed or permitted by the State of Colorado to provide mental health evaluations, counseling, and monitoring. • The proposer should have the ability to receive referrals from CDPHE and make services available to all certified EMS providers. • The proposer should utilize a formal intake process to identify physical, emotional, or psychological conditions and screen for signs of crisis and other potentially harmful circumstances.
