The Department of Human Services is seeking a vendor to provide medical waste removal services for the Elisabeth Ludeman Center in Park Forest, IL. The vendor will be responsible for collecting, removing, and disposing of biohazard waste, bags, tape, and boxes from the center's grounds. The vendor must be certified in handling and disposing of hazardous and medical waste. The contract term will be from the last dated signature of the parties or July 1, 2025, whichever occurs later, through June 30, 2028. • The vendor shall provide all labor and equipment necessary for the collection, removal, and disposal of biohazard waste. • The vendor shall use only enclosed, leak-proof truck bodies for collection and pickup services. • The vendor must be certified in the handling and disposal of hazardous and medical waste. • The vendor shall furnish the Ludeman Center with the requested number of 4.5 cu. ft. collection boxes and sealing tape. • Biohazard pickup shall be two times per month, depending on the facility's needs, and shall be between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
