Description:
The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Chemical Biological Center (DEVCOM CBC) is seeking proposals for a 40mm Counter Unmanned Aerial System (CUAS) through the Cornerstone Other Transaction Agreement (OTA). The objective of this effort is to integrate advanced proximity sensing fuze technology into programmable air burst cartridges for the MK19 grenade launcher, establishing a comprehensive system-level solution for countering small UAS threats for the Army. This necessitates the development of a fully integrated system encompassing detection, tracking, targeting, and defeat functionalities, crucially including seamless integration with existing weapon platforms, fire control systems, and remote weapon stations. Key aspects of the proposal include: • Development of a fully integrated system for countering small UAS threats • Integration with existing weapon platforms, fire control systems, and remote weapon stations • Advanced proximity sensing fuze technology • Programmable air burst cartridges for the MK19 grenade launcher • A Secret Facility Security Clearance is required • Entities must be members of the Cornerstone consortium to be awarded this OTA task

Budget Estimate (AI):

$5,000,000 – $20,000,000

Given the complexity of the project and the requirement for advanced proximity sensing fuze technology, the estimated budget for this opportunity could range from $5 million to $20 million. This estimate is based on the assumption that the project will involve significant research and development, as well as the production of a fully integrated system. The actual budget could be higher or lower, depending on the specific requirements and the proposals submitted by the contractors. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the number of contractors participating in the proposal process, the level of competition, and the U.S. Government's budget for this initiative.
