Description:
The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) intends to award a sole source contract to the Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA) to assist OSPI’s Teacher and Principal Evaluation Program (TPEP) in implementing professional learning, through a Superintendent Mentor Academy and Early Career Superintendent Academy, designed to strengthen educator effectiveness throughout the system. The contract will include regularly scheduled professional learning meetings for superintendents, mentor recruitment, and session topics such as leadership development, skill building, and cultural competence. • The Superintendent Mentor Academy will provide up to 15 hours of professional learning for superintendents who have agreed to serve as mentors to incoming superintendents. • The Early Career Superintendent Academy will provide up to 24 hours of professional learning for superintendents in their first year. • The contract will also include facilitated peer support sessions for superintendents in their second or third year. • The contractor will be required to provide deliverables such as sign-in sheets, presentations, and materials, as well as a final report. • The contract will be for a period of one year, from July 7, 2025, to June 30, 2026.
