The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide a USP 797/800 compliant mobile IV preparation self-contained trailer for the Kansas City VA Medical Center. The trailer will be used to prepare pharmaceutical compounded sterile preparations while the existing pharmacy is being renovated. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, test equipment, repair/replacement parts, travel, and transportation necessary for the initial installation and to provide emergency response to service calls and perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. The contractor will also be responsible for making connections to the current water line, local sewer, and emergency power. The trailer must meet all USP 797/800 requirements and be certified by an outside vendor. • The trailer must have a workroom, non-hazardous anteroom, non-hazardous IV preparation/buffer room, hazardous anteroom, hazardous IV preparation/buffer room, two laminar airflow hoods, two biological safety cabinets, and two refrigerators. • The trailer must have a minimum 80-gallon on-board freshwater tank and a minimum of 100 gallons on-board grey water tank. • The contractor must provide 24-hour per day, 7 days per week telephone technical support and on-site emergency repair service within 4 hours of notification. • The contractor must perform CETA certifications every 6 months and provide documentation. • The contractor must maintain proper temperature, humidity, and pressure to ensure maximum operation, calibration, and care of equipment and staff comfort and medication viability.
