The County of Butte is seeking a firm to provide an Electronic Inmate Tracking and Housing Check System for the Butte County Sheriff's Office. The system should be able to track inmate location, log housing checks, and provide real-time updates. The system should also be able to identify inmate and location information wirelessly through the use of radio frequency identification (RFID) or similar technology. The contract will be awarded to a respondent that meets the qualification criteria and has successfully performed services on similar projects in the past. Key features of the system include: * Inmate tracking devices that are wearable, wireless, battery-powered, waterproof, and tamper-resistant * Location check devices that are waterproof, tamper-resistant, and designed for secure wall mounting * Hand-held devices that are capable of scanning tamper-resistant monitoring devices and identifying BCJ staff members * A system that can log housing checks and observations, and provide real-time updates * A system that meets the requirements set forth by the California Code of Regulations, Title 15, section 1027.5, and the California Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC)
