Description:
Texas Woman’s University is seeking a Construction Manager-At-Risk firm for the construction of the new Merrilee Alexander Kick College of Business building. The project includes approximately 60,000 SF of new construction, with 40,000 SF for the new college and 20,000 SF of shell space. The estimated total construction budget is $30 million, and the project is expected to be completed by May 2027. The selected firm will be responsible for providing construction management services, including pre-construction and construction phases. The firm will also be required to establish budgets and control costs, meet schedules, and ensure quality control during the construction phase. • The project requires a Construction Manager-At-Risk firm with experience in similar projects, particularly in the education sector. • The firm must have a strong understanding of construction methodologies, technologies, and best practices. • The firm must be able to establish budgets and control costs, meet schedules, and ensure quality control during the construction phase. • The firm must have experience in working with historically underutilized businesses (HUBs) and must submit a HUB subcontracting plan. • The firm must be able to provide a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) and maintain it throughout the design and construction process.
