Description:
The County of Orange, OC Public Works, is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the rental of traffic control devices and equipment. The contract will be for a period of 120 days after the IFB closing date, with the option to extend for an additional 365 days. The contractor will be required to supply, deliver, pick up, repair, and service all required rental devices and equipment on an as-needed basis. The equipment will be used for various road and flood control maintenance projects throughout the County of Orange. The contractor must respond to requests for rental devices and equipment on a 24-hour a day, 7-day a week basis. Some key equipment to be rented includes: • Solar Powered LED Message Boards • Solar Powered Amber LED Arrow Boards • Solar LED Light Towers • Type III Plastic Barricades • Type II Plastic Swing Barricades • Type I Plastic Swing Barricades • A-Frames • Traffic Barrels • Crowd Control Barriers • Water Filled Plastic Barriers • K-Rails • Tube Delineators • Grabber Tube Delineators • Tapered Cones • Flat Bed/Stake Bed Truck Mounted Attenuators (Crash Cushions) The contract will require the contractor to provide pricing for each item, as well as a discount percentage for miscellaneous equipment. The contractor must also provide references and certify that they do not have any current or past litigation against the County of Orange. The bid submission deadline is April 28, 2025, at 2:00 pm. Bids will be evaluated based on the lowest responsive, responsible bid, and the contractor must agree to accept the terms and conditions of the contract.
