The St. Johns County - Purchasing Department is soliciting sealed bids for the construction of rehabilitating and hardening the Barrier Island lift stations along the coastal low-lying areas to improve the wastewater collection system’s resiliency and protect critical infrastructure from stronger and more frequent storms and coastal sea-level rise. This project is funded under Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) Grant Agreement No. HA001. The scope of work includes: • Construction of rehabilitating and hardening the Barrier Island lift stations • Improving the wastewater collection system’s resiliency • Protecting critical infrastructure from stronger and more frequent storms and coastal sea-level rise The project is estimated to have a budget of $1,580,000.
