The State of Maryland is seeking to procure a WALCO 822 Laminating Machine or an equivalent laminating machine for the Maryland State Highway Administration. The machine should be able to laminate signs with accuracy and a minimum of rejects. The vendor will be responsible for delivering the machine to the State Highway Administration's Sign shop. The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder with the lowest price. • The laminating machine should be able to laminate all grades of reflective sheeting to a variety of substrates. • The machine should have a minimum width of 48 inches and a maximum width of 65 inches. • The machine should have pneumatically controlled nip and rubber-covered nip rolls capable of a minimum nip pressure of 7 pounds per lineal inch. • The machine should have a speed variable from 3-30 feet per minute. • The vendor should provide one-time training for the operator and maintenance personnel.
