The Colorado Department of Corrections is requesting bids to install electric vehicle charging stations at the Denver Women’s Correctional Facility. The project consists of the infrastructure and site work for 17 electric vehicle charging stations and installation of 7 electric vehicle charging stations and associated medium voltage pad-mounted transformer, medium voltage cabling and splices, electrical service, distribution equipment, etc. The scope of services includes trades such as electrical contractor, below grade utility locator, medium voltage electrical work, concrete masonry work, paving material saw cutting, excavation with backfill, compaction, surface restoration, finished paving, and painting. • The estimated construction cost is $700,000.00. • The project requires a mandatory pre-bid meeting. • The project is subject to the State prevailing wage rate. • The project requires a bid bond and power of attorney or proposal guaranty. • The project has a tentative schedule with a public bid opening on June 17, 2025.
