Description:
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is seeking applications for the Addressing the Housing Affordability Crisis Research Grant Program. The program aims to fund quality research that contributes to knowledge about the housing affordability crisis in the United States and generate actionable insights and evidence to inform policy decisions. Eligible applicants include institutions of higher education, nonprofit, and for-profit institutions. The program will fund research projects that contribute to one of the five eligible research categories: Government-induced Demand and Housing Affordability, Immigration and Housing Affordability, The Financialization of Housing and Housing Affordability, Economic Opportunity Cost and Housing Affordability, and Opportunity Zones. • The program will provide competitive awards to fund research projects. • Eligible applicants include institutions of higher education, nonprofit, and for-profit institutions. • The program will fund research projects that contribute to one of the five eligible research categories. • Awards made under this program will be cooperative agreements. • The estimated funding for this program is $10,000,000, with an award ceiling of $2,000,000 and an award floor of $250,000.
