The United States Department of the Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC) intends to award a sole source contract to EMD Millipore Corporation for the purchase and installation of eight Millipore Milli-Q water purification systems. The systems include seven Milli-Q EQ 7016 systems and one Milli-Q IQ 7010 system, which will replace the currently existing Millipore Milli-Q Direct 16 laboratory water purification systems. The systems are considered critical and essential pieces of equipment to maintain daily laboratory functions. The contract will be a firm fixed price contract, and the proposed source is EMD Millipore Corporation. • The Milli-Q EQ 7016 system is a Type 1 ultra-pure water system that uses a cold tap feed and features a built-in or wall-mounted point-of-use dispenser. • The Milli-Q IQ 7010 system is a Type 1 ultra-pure water purification system that uses cold tap feed and has a digital display, a 50L RO tank collecting RO Type 2 pure water. • The systems will be installed in the Infectious Diseases Directorate laboratories at NMRC. • The contract price will include the cost of the systems, installation, travel, and shipping. • The Government intends to use NICE Funds and additional Navy funding Fiscal Year 2025 to procure these replacement water filtration systems.
