Description:
The County of Durham is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide a Pilot Day Shelter and Services Center for individuals experiencing homelessness. The selected organization will provide daytime shelter and comprehensive services to help residents transition to stable housing. The proposal should include a plan for managing the work requirements, staffing, and resources. The contract term is 16 months, and the County reserves the right to cancel or terminate the contract with 30 days' notice. • The proposal should include an executive summary, corporate overview, approach, organization and staffing, qualifications and experience, and conflict of interest statement. • The County is seeking a low-barrier facility that provides daytime shelter and services, including case management, employment training, and behavioral health supports. • The proposal should include a plan for community outreach, transportation, and partnerships with referral partners. • The County will evaluate proposals based on project understanding, approach, and expected impact, qualifications and experience, team capacity and availability, cost proposal, and completeness of application.
