Description:
The Rio Blanco County is seeking a contractor for the 2025 RBC Meeker Museum Roof Replacement Project. The project involves replacing the existing cedar shake roof with durable synthetic shingles at the county-owned building at 545 Park Avenue in Meeker, Colorado. The scope of work includes tear-off and disposal of the existing roofing, replacement of roof decking, new waterproofing and flashing systems, and the final installation of the synthetic shake roofing system. The project is expected to start after June 1, 2025, and be completed by August 29, 2025. Key aspects of the project include: • Removal and disposal of the existing cedar shake roof system • Installation of new 7/16" oriented strand board (O.S.B.) plywood sheathing • Installation of 4" x 2" drip edge flashing and high-temperature-rated ice and water shield • Installation of synthetic shake shingles (DaVinci or equivalent product) • Final cleanup and labor warranty The contractor must have at least five years of industry experience, experience with projects of similar size and complexity, and previous job references that show good past performance and workmanship.
