The City of Vancouver is seeking one or more operators to manage two concession stands located at New Brighton Pool and John Hendry Park (Trout Lake). The operator will be responsible for providing food and beverage services, including alcohol, to park visitors. The contract term will be one year, with the option to extend for up to four additional one-year terms. The operator will be required to pay commissions to the City on a bi-weekly basis, based on gross revenues from concession sales. Key responsibilities of the operator include operating the concession stand during approved hours, ordering and managing inventory, ensuring compliance with all rules and regulations, and providing staff training. The City will provide support with marketing, maintenance, and administrative tasks. • The operator must have a valid Serving It Right certification in British Columbia and experience operating a quick-serve concession or similar food and beverage operation. • The operator must provide evidence of a current liquor license or approval as a Third-Party Operator (TPO) on an existing license. • The operator must have a valid Food Safe certification and be willing to undergo criminal background checks. • The operator must demonstrate operational success, a positive reputation, and the ability to provide efficient and courteous service.
