The City of Waco is seeking a contractor to replace the public side water service line from the water main to the water meter for several locations on Gorman Ave. The contractor will be responsible for customer shutoff notification, traffic control, service removal, service replacement, trench safety, flushing, photographic documentation, inspection request, surface restoration, and other services detailed in the package. The project involves replacing the water service line while minimizing disturbance to the newly constructed curbs, gutters, and drive approaches. The contractor is to tunnel beneath the new curb and cutter, filling any voids underneath the curbs with flowable fill or concrete. Key services include: • Customer notification • Obtain pre-construction photos of project area • Install traffic control • Ensure materials are approved by the City of Waco • Remove existing service line tap and install full circle clamp • Remove and dispose of service • Install new tapping saddle, corporation, poly service line, 90° elbow, curb stop valve, and meter brass • Bed new service line in Type A material and connect to existing meter via newly installed curb stop and meter brass • Backfill excavation using Type A material and provide appropriate surface repair The City of Waco reserves the right to reject any and all submittals, and the issuance of this solicitation does not obligate the City to contract for expressed or implied services.
