The Town of Heidelberg is seeking bids for the construction of a walking track improvement. The project includes asphalt paving and related items. The contractor will be required to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the project. The contract time is 60 consecutive calendar days, and liquidated damages will be assessed for each day beyond the specified contract time. The project is funded through a Recreational Trails Program Grant administered by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fishers and Parks. • The contractor must be qualified under Mississippi Law and have a current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. • The contractor must submit a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to five percent of their bid. • The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount. • Minority and women’s business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities.
