The North Carolina Department of Public Safety is seeking a vendor to provide Functional Family Therapy (FFT) services to high-risk juveniles, ages 10-21, under the supervision of the Division of Juvenile Justice. The goal of this program is to reduce further court involvement by these identified youths, reduce deeper penetration into the juvenile justice system, and promote stronger families. The vendor will be required to provide all services described in the RFP, including clinical practice that is flexibly structured and culturally sensitive. Some key points include: * The FFT clinical model concentrates on decreasing risk factors and increasing protective factors that directly affect adolescents, with a particular emphasis on familial factors. * Targeted youth are at risk for delinquency, violence, substance use, gang involvement, or other behavioral problems. * The contract term will be for a period of three years, with the option to extend for two additional one-year periods. * The vendor will be required to provide services within the four regions of North Carolina (Central, Eastern, Piedmont, and Western Regions). * The vendor must comply with all federal and state requirements, including the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) standards. * The vendor must also comply with the E-Verify requirements of Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the NC General Statutes.
