Description:
The City of Roseville is seeking a consultant to perform a comprehensive GIS ESRI Utility Network Data Migration. The project involves upgrading the Electric Utility Department's GIS database from Esri ArcGIS version 10.8.1 to version 11.1 and transitioning from the legacy Geometric Network model to Esri's Advanced Utility Network model. The consultant will be responsible for migrating the database, configuring integrations, and providing documentation and training. The project aims to create a more resilient, efficient, and future-ready GIS foundation to support electric utility operations and long-term infrastructure planning. Key aspects of the project include: • Improved Data Management and Modeling: The Utility Network provides a more flexible and accurate representation of complex electric infrastructure, enabling advanced tracing, subnetwork management, and topological validation. • Enhanced Integration and Interoperability: Upgrading to ArcGIS 11.1 and the latest ArcFM will improve interoperability with other enterprise systems, including asset management, permitting, and reporting platforms. • Security and Support: Remaining on 10.8.1 limits access to current Esri security updates, support, and functionality. Upgrading ensures continued vendor support and alignment with industry best practices. • Consistency Across Departments: This project will complete the City's organization-wide migration to a unified GIS platform, promoting standardization, collaboration, and shared use of authoritative data. The consultant will work closely with the City's project team, which includes subject matter experts from the Roseville Electric Utility and the City of Roseville Information Technology teams. The project is expected to be completed within a few months, with the exact duration depending on the complexity of the migration and the availability of the consultant and City staff. • Database and Readiness Assessment and Recommendations • Utility Geodatabase Migration • Integrations • Additional Configurations • Reports and Outputs • Implementation Testing Strategy • Final Database Implementation and Support • Documentation
