Description:
The Cobb County Department of Transportation is seeking qualifications from engineering consulting firms to provide design services for the Noonday Creek Trail Extension project. The project involves a four-mile extension of an existing multi-use trail along Noonday Creek, from the existing Bells Ferry Trailhead to Shallowford Road. The selected firm will be responsible for preparing utility plans, coordinating with the Cobb County Water System, and incorporating water and sewer plans into the final construction plan set. The firm will also be required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and county rules and regulations. • The project consists of funding by Federal and local sources. • The funding sources require this project to conform to the Georgia Department of Transportation’s Plan Development Review Process. • All engineering services shall be in accordance with all applicable guidelines of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, GDOT Standard Specifications for the Construction of Transportation Systems, Project Schedules, Plan Development Review Process, and Plan Presentation Guidelines. • The selected firm will be required to submit a DBE participation report to CCDOT prior to beginning work on the project and a final DBE report must be submitted at the end of the project. • Monthly DBE reports must be submitted with each monthly invoice. • The contract amount will be determined via negotiations with CCDOT.
