The Garden City Public Schools are seeking proposals for the partial removal and replacement of Donnelly St, between Garden City Middle School and the Radcliff Center. The proposed area to be replaced is approximately 540’ x 90’. The successful bidder will be responsible for pulling samples for depth and providing density testing for the base to meet industry standards. They will also be responsible for pulling all necessary permits and providing a project work schedule. The bidder must demonstrate at least five years of successful experience on work of this type and scope of equal or better quality than this project. Some key aspects of the project include: • The existing curb on the South side of the street is to stay. • Bidders will be responsible for providing unit pricing for any base that will need to be replaced. • The bidder must provide site warning notification and road closure signs. • The bidder will be required to clean up the site daily and provide full restoration of any other disturbed areas of the job site. • The district is not automatically exempt from State of Michigan Sales and Use Taxes, and the contractor will be responsible for paying these taxes on materials that are permanently attached to the structure.
