Description:
The Camden City School District is seeking a qualified vendor to provide professional translation (and possible interpretation) services to support its Child Study Team during the 2024‑2025 school year. The work will ensure that all written materials and meetings related to special‑education eligibility and Individualized Education Programs are accessible to families with limited English proficiency. The contract is a one‑year, non‑renewable award and will likely involve a variety of language pairs as needs arise. • Translate forms, reports, notices, and other documentation used by the Child Study Team. • Provide on‑site or remote interpretation for meetings with non‑English‑speaking parents or guardians. • Maintain confidentiality and comply with FERPA, NJ anti‑discrimination statutes, and any district‑specific guidelines. • Submit all required certifications, non‑collusion affidavit, and corporate disclosures with the sealed proposal. • Deliver the sealed envelope by April 16, 2024, 11:00 AM to the district’s Business Office.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$50,000 – $150,000

No budget amount is disclosed. Based on typical translation contracts for a medium‑sized school district covering a full fiscal year, a reasonable estimate would range from $50,000 for limited language pairs and modest volume to $150,000 if the district requires multiple languages, extensive document translation, and on‑site interpretation services. Factors influencing the final amount include the number of languages, volume of documents, frequency of interpretation sessions, and any overtime or rush‑order fees.
