Description:
The University of Notre Dame is seeking a high-performance, multi-modal in vivo imaging system to replace their current outdated IVIS Lumina II. The new system must be state-of-the-art, highly sensitive, and offer high-throughput optical imaging capabilities for non-invasive, real-time tracking and visualization of biological processes in small animals. The system must include core modalities such as bioluminescence and fluorescence imaging, multispectral capability, and anatomical coregistration. The contract term will be for a one-time purchase, and the university reserves the right to change the RFP schedule and issue addenda. • The system must be capable of performing both bioluminescence and fluorescence imaging. • The system must possess advanced multispectral imaging capabilities. • The system must include or be immediately upgradable to include integrated planar X-ray or computed tomography for anatomical coregistration. • The imaging chamber and integrated anesthesia system must accommodate a minimum of five adult mice concurrently. • The vendor must provide comprehensive on-site installation, system calibration, and hands-on operational training for all primary researchers and core facility staff.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$200,000 – $1,000,000

Based on the information provided, it is difficult to estimate the exact budget amount. However, considering the complexity and specificity of the required system, the budget could be substantial. A possible range could be between $200,000 to $1,000,000, depending on the vendor's pricing and the university's budget. The budget will likely be a one-time payment for the purchase of the system. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the cost of similar systems in the market, the university's budget for research equipment, and the level of competition among vendors.
