Description:
The US Air Force is conducting market research to identify potential sources for engineering services to support the AN/ALR-69A Radar Warning Receiver (RWR) system. The system is a digital RWR with specialized hardware designed to detect, identify, and report Radio Frequency (RF) threats. The scope of work includes software and firmware support, integration and merging of software changes, investigation of system performance anomalies, systems engineering, software engineering, testing, and generation of required technical documentation. The contract strategy is anticipated to be a five-year contract with one basic year and four option years. • The AN/ALR-69A system requires sustainment and engineering services to support the complete system. • The system's performance is heavily dependent on its software and firmware, including its Operational Flight Program (OFP), digital signal processing programs, and the Mission Data Files (MDFs) used for threat identification. • The contractor shall furnish all test tools, information systems, support equipment required to provide engineering services support for this effort. • The contractor is responsible for producing, providing, maintaining, and calibrating all support equipment required at their facility or a subcontractor’s facility.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$10,000,000 – $50,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is not explicitly stated in the document. However, considering the scope of work and the fact that it is a five-year contract, the budget could be substantial. The US Air Force is likely to invest significant funds in the engineering services required to support the AN/ALR-69A RWR system. A rough estimate for the budget could be in the range of $10 million to $50 million per year, considering the complexity of the system and the scope of work required. However, this is a very rough estimate and the actual budget could be higher or lower, depending on various factors such as the number of contractors involved, the level of expertise required, and the specific services provided.
