Description:
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing a high-resolution oscilloscope. The oscilloscope will be used in sensitive measurements of the noise performance of nonlinear integrated photonics devices. The required technical specifications include a 4-channel, 2 GHz bandwidth oscilloscope with high vertical resolution, selectable input impedance, and various other features. • The oscilloscope must have a system that is a four-channel oscilloscope suitable for measuring analog and digital signals. • The input impedance of either 50 ohm or 1 Mega-ohm must be selectable. • The analog bandwidth at 50-ohm input impedance must be 2 GHz or higher. • The sampling rate on all 4 channels must be 6.25 GS/s or higher. • The vertical resolution must be at least 8 bits in depth at 6.25 GS/s, 12 bits at 3.125 GS/s, 14 bits at 625 MS/s, and 16 bits at 125 MS/s. • The memory length must be 500 Mpts/channel for all four channels. • The trigger modes must include edge, pulse width, window, logic, and timeout. • The waveform capture rate must be 500,000 waveforms/second or greater. • The display must be a color touchscreen with a size of at least 15” along the diagonal and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels or better. • The system must be controllable using a touch screen that enables setting of acquisition parameters, markers and measurement tools, and zoom-in on traces. • The system must come with at least 4 USB3.0 (or higher) ports for retrieving data or connecting to USB peripherals, and allow communication via ethernet. • The minimum warranty must be 1 year.
