Description:
The City of Bakersfield Water Department is seeking a contractor to provide on-call well and pump maintenance services for a period of three years, with the option to extend for an additional three one-year periods. The selected contractor will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair services on the city's groundwater production wells, including installation, inspection, cleaning, repair, modification, and replacement of water wells and pumps. The contractor must have extensive documented experience in the maintenance and repair of water wells and be capable of providing all necessary field and professional services. The city will provide access to the project site, pertinent project documentation, and a single point of contact during normal business hours and a 24-hour contact for after-hour communications. • The contractor must have a minimum of five years of experience in providing water resources related maintenance and repair services for public agencies, municipalities, or water purveyors. • The contractor must have State of California Class “A”, “C57”, and “C-61/D21” Contractor’s Licenses. • The contractor must have a project manager, foreman, and a minimum of ten field persons who will be performing the work. • The contractor must have adequate construction equipment in good repair and professional office staff. • The contractor must maintain registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) during the duration of the agreement.
