Description:
The Social and Economic Development Strategies (SEDS) program is focused on community-driven projects designed to grow local economies, strengthen Native American families, and decrease the high rate of current challenges caused by the lack of community-based businesses and social and economic infrastructure in Native American communities. The program aims to support projects that preserve Native American cultures and address the unique challenges faced by Native American communities. • Eligible applicants include federally-recognized Indian tribes, incorporated non-federally recognized tribes, incorporated state-recognized Indian tribes, consortia of Indian tribes, and non-profit organizations serving Native American communities. • The program will support projects that promote economic development, improve access to healthcare and education, and strengthen family and community relationships. • The estimated funding for the program is $21,000,000, with an award ceiling of $900,000 and an award floor of $100,000. • Applications must be submitted electronically by April 15, 2025.
