The Subsurface Utility Engineer (SUE) Contractor shall perform the field survey necessary to locate approximate or precise locations of private and/or public underground utilities within the project limits. The project concentrates on three areas: Location 1 – NY27 (Sunrise Highway) South Service Road, Location 2 – NY25 (East Main Street) at Elton Street, and Location 3 – Wantagh State Parkway at NY27 (Sunrise Highway). The specific limits of the project locations are defined as follows and shown on the Location Map in the advertisement. Key responsibilities include coordination of assistance with the utilities or municipalities involved, and with any Department recognized underground utility location service. • The project requires the location of approximate or precise locations of private and/or public underground utilities within the project limits. • The project concentrates on three areas in Suffolk and Nassau counties. • The contractor must conform to the requirements of NYS Highway Design Manual, Section 13.4.1.1 Existing Utility Facility Location and this Scope of Services. • The contract term is 6 months. • The due date for submission is 10/17/2025.
