The Muscogee County School District is seeking to secure the services of qualified suppliers for On-Demand Sign Language Interpreters and Signing Paraprofessional/Communication Assistants. The contract period will be from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The district is looking for providers who can offer in-person services to support Deaf Hard of Hearing (DHH) students in classrooms, small groups, or other educational settings. The selected vendors will be required to provide direct support to DHH students, assist with communication, access to instruction, note-taking, and implementing accommodations under the guidance of certified staff. • The contract will be awarded to the vendor who is most responsive and responsible, and will perform in the best interest of the school district. • The vendor will be required to maintain professional boundaries and act under supervision, not responsible for teaching, interpreting, or evaluating students independently. • The vendor will be required to follow MCSD policies regarding confidentiality, student records, and student safety. • The vendor will be required to provide logs of services provided, including date, time, location, student name, type of assignment, and any relevant notes. • The vendor will be required to participate in periodic evaluation/observation by qualified staff or interpreter supervisors to ensure interpreting quality, appropriateness of language/register, compliance with ethics, and effectiveness for students.
