The Alameda County Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is seeking contractors to provide Health and Medicare Advocacy and Information (HMAI) services to county residents. The services include Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) and Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) services. The contractor will be expected to provide services countywide, including counseling, advocacy, education, and outreach to Medicare beneficiaries and community education on Medicare and related topics. The contract term will be one year, with the option to review and renew for up to three additional one-year terms. • HICAP services include one-on-one counseling, advocacy, and education on Medicare and other health insurance related issues • MIPPA services include outreach, counseling, and application assistance to improve Medicare beneficiary access to preventive and mental health services • The contractor will be required to submit monthly reports and participate in quarterly assessments of results-based accountability performance measures • The contractor will be required to maintain financial and program records and make periodic reports as requested by the AAA
