Description:
The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Regional Directorate intends to solicit Shell Packaging Corporation (dba Flexcon Containers) on a sole source basis for the procurement of 126 Flexcon four-inch-high dividers and 127 Flexcon six-inch-high dividers. These dividers are being procured to complete the configuration of the new V&H Kardex Remstar Vertical Storage Units (VSUs) previously purchased by the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Nuclear Reactors Material Office (NRMO) for the warehousing and safekeeping of repair parts, equipment, and components. The dividers required must be constructed out of a non-metallic material and non-static producing material. Key requirements include: • The dividers must adhere to the same dimension sizing for all 40 cells available. • The partitions and dividers cannot add any measurable weight to the VSU inventory trays. • The dividers must be able to withstand the motion of the VSU without moving on the trays.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$50,000 – $200,000

The budget for this contract is likely to be moderate, given the specific requirements for the dividers and the fact that it is a sole source procurement. The cost of the dividers will depend on the materials used, the complexity of the design, and the production process. A rough estimate for the total cost could be between $50,000 and $200,000, considering the quantity of dividers required and the potential cost per unit. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the production volume, material costs, and the level of customization required.
