The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is seeking bids for timber sale services. The successful bidder will be required to provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees described in the contract. The bidder must be either an individual or firm currently licensed to do business in California and have a current and valid Business License or Incorporation papers for their respective State. The contractor or subcontractor performing logging services must possess an active and valid Licensed Timber Operations (LTO) license with the California Board of Forestry. The key aspects of the job include: • Providing timber sale services as described in the contract • Complying with all federal, state, city, and county laws, rules, or regulations affecting the work • Cooperating with CAL FIRE authorities and observing and complying with all regulations on CAL FIRE grounds • Providing a certified check, cashier's check, bank draft, or money order in the amount of $20,000.00 as a deposit to be held by the STATE as a guarantee that all periodic payments shall be made in advance of cutting • Executing a contract of sale and furnishing a satisfactory performance bond, certificate of deposit, or irrevocable letter of credit in the sum of $125,000.00 within 15 working days from the receipt of notice of the acceptance of bid
