Description:
The City of Harrisonville is seeking a qualified contractor to remove and repair raised sidewalk trip hazards throughout the municipality (excluding MO Hwy 291, which is MoDOT’s responsibility). The work must eliminate hazards ranging from 0.25″ to 1.5″ in height using non‑grinding methods, maintain ADA‑compliant slopes (max 1:12), achieve a minimum friction coefficient of 0.6, and include dust‑abatement controls. All debris must be cleared and disposal costs bundled in the unit price. The contractor is also responsible for reporting hazards exceeding 1.5″ for replacement and for ensuring no damage to adjacent properties. • Remove and repair raised sidewalk trip hazards (0.25″‑1.5″) with a non‑grinding, ADA‑compliant method. • Provide dust‑control, immediate debris removal, and include disposal in pricing. • Report any hazards >1.5″ for replacement and assume liability for any property damage caused during work.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$200,000 – $500,000

Based on typical municipal sidewalk repair contracts, a city the size of Harrisonville (population ~8,000) with multiple work zones could expect a contract value ranging from a few hundred thousand dollars up to roughly half a million. The estimate accounts for labor, materials, dust‑control equipment, disposal fees, and a contingency for reporting larger hazards that may require replacement.
