The City of Detroit's Office of Contracting and Procurement is seeking information from vendors interested in submitting quotes for new rifle systems for the Detroit Police Department's Special Response Team. The goal is to procure new rifle systems and trade out-of-service weapons with the awarded vendor in exchange for credit against the new purchases. Vendors must submit their qualifications, including a current Dealer's or Manufacturer's Federal Firearms License, certificate of liability insurance, and at least three references from local, state, or federal agencies. • The RFI is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for applications or an obligation on the part of the City of Detroit. • The City is seeking vendors who can provide new rifle systems with precision accuracy and high reliability. • The RFI will be used to establish a pool of qualified potential bidders who will be invited to an in-person walk-through to evaluate the weapons stock available for trade. • Vendors must submit their qualifications via the Oracle supplier portal by the date and time listed on the cover page of this document.
