Description:
The Army Contracting Command- Aberdeen Proving Ground- Belvoir Division (ACC-APG Belvoir) is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for the Driver’s Vision Enhancer – Abrams – High Definition (DVE-A-HD) capability. The DVE-A-HD is intended to replace the currently fielded Driver’s Vision Enhancer – Abrams (DVE-A) AN/VAS-5B (X) configuration. The key focus areas include an enhanced Display / Control Module (DCM) and an enhanced Sensor Assembly. The acquisition solution shall meet planned production requirements of approximately 200 units starting in FY27, but additionally be capable of producing additional units (up to five thousand) should the Army require upgrades to additional Abrams MBTs. • The DVE-A-HD capability shall be at least as sustainable as the current DVE-A units. • Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) rates shall be no less than rates currently experienced in the existing DVE-A fleet. • Training and other technical documentation shall follow the same format and level of detail requirements required in developing Military documentation as existing documentation. • The Government intends to leverage novel and emerging technologies to the established DVE baseline, providing both improved capabilities and affordability to the refreshed DVE-A-HD design.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$10,000,000 – $50,000,000

The estimated budget for this opportunity is likely to be in the range of $10 million to $50 million, considering the production requirements of approximately 200 units starting in FY27 and the potential for additional units. The cost of each unit may vary depending on the complexity of the design, the materials used, and the production capacity of the manufacturer. The Government's intention to leverage novel and emerging technologies may also impact the cost.
