The Georgia Department of Transportation is seeking a pre-qualified firm to provide demolition, abatement, and removal services for the demolition of structures in the right of way or easement areas. The work consists of the equipment, supervision, and all other services required for the complete demolition of the structures identified and described in the Asbestos Inspection Reports. The selected contractor will be required to provide a performance and payment bond, and to maintain liability insurance throughout the duration of the work. The contract will be awarded to the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder. Key aspects of the job include: • Demolition of structures in the right of way or easement areas • Abatement and removal of asbestos-containing materials • Compliance with all pertinent regulations (State/Federal/Local/Industry) • Provision of a performance and payment bond • Maintenance of liability insurance throughout the duration of the work • Completion of the work within 30 days of the Notice to Proceed
