The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source procurement to SimX Inc for the provision of SimX Virtual Reality Medical Simulation Software licenses, including a package for 40 general marketplace cases, educational service, and integration support, as well as hardware to support the education and training of medical professionals and hospital staff at the Dayton VA Medical Center in Ohio. The contract will have a base period with four separate option periods. The software platform allows medical professionals and staff to train for realistic patient scenarios in a safe, virtual environment. The contract includes various items such as the SimX Virtual Reality Medical Simulation Software License, General Marketplace Cases, SimX Virtual Manikin, and Educational Service and Integration Support. • The SimX Virtual Reality Medical Simulation Software License grants access to the SimX virtual reality medical simulation software platform. • The 40-Scenario Package allows access to 40 general marketplace cases chosen from an extensive library of pre-built, state-of-the-art medical simulation training. • The SimX Virtual Manikin is a customizable virtual reality simulation designed for medical training, allowing users to practice diagnosing and treating a wide range of adult chest pain scenarios. • The Educational Service and Integration Support package helps educational institutions and healthcare organizations integrate virtual reality simulation technology into their curriculum.
