The City of Florissant is seeking a Missouri Department of Natural Resources-licensed asbestos inspector to complete asbestos inspections and provide a report on 7 multi-family structures, including 5 four-unit and 2 eight-unit buildings, and associated outbuildings. The selected contractor will conduct comprehensive asbestos inspections, produce detailed reports, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The inspection services should be completed within 14 days of the contract award, and the report should be submitted within 14 days of completing inspections. Key responsibilities include: • Conducting thorough visual inspections of each facility and associated outbuildings to assess the presence of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) • Collecting samples and conducting laboratory analysis by a National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP)-accredited laboratory • Providing a comprehensive report, including an executive summary of findings, detailed descriptions and locations of identified ACMs, photographic documentation, and recommendations for management or remediation of materials • Maintaining open communication with the City's representative throughout the inspection process and providing updates as needed • Implementing health and safety protocols during the inspection process in compliance with OSHA standards
