Alachua County is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or entities to provide caretaking, maintenance, security, and other agreed-upon services for the Watermelon Pond – Sheffield Ferran Tracts and the Watermelon Pond – King Warney Tracts in exchange for limited hunting opportunities. The selected hunter will be responsible for ensuring prompt and efficient service, complying with all federal, state, and local laws, and obtaining necessary permits and licenses. The contract will be for a term of five years, with the option to renew. The county reserves the right to reject any proposal and to award contracts to more than one hunter.
