Description:
The City of Los Angeles Harbor Department has been awarded U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) funding for the Port of Los Angeles Clean Ports Program (CPP) grant award. Everport Terminal Services is requesting proposals from qualified professional architectural and engineering firms to provide design engineering, project management, construction bid package preparation, and construction management services in support of the EPA-funded terminal electrification project. The project includes the deployment of zero-emission port equipment, such as battery-electric yard tractors, top handlers, and forklifts, as well as the installation of up to 168 chargers. The selected firm will be responsible for providing on-going project management, coordination, and communication with Everport and other project partners, as well as completing all architectural, geotechnical, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical design and engineering work necessary to deliver the project. • The project is expected to be completed by the end of September 2028. • The selected firm will be required to work productively with other consultants supporting the project. • The firm will be responsible for ensuring that the construction contractor and any subcontractors comply with local, State, and Federal requirements as well as EPA grant requirements. • The project includes multiple components, including design and engineering services, construction bid package preparation, and construction management. • The selected firm will be required to provide updates to any design standards and criteria using the latest and best practices. • The firm will be responsible for coordinating with permitting agencies and ensuring that all necessary permits are obtained.
