Description:
The State of Maryland is seeking a contractor to remove and replace the automated front gate at the Jessup Shop. The contractor will be responsible for removing and disposing of the existing dual 27.5 aluminum cantilevering gates and furnishing and installing two new 27.5’ x 7’-9” cantilevering aluminum gates, including an aluminum internal trolley system. The contractor will also furnish and install two new Lift Master or approved equal dual gate operators. The work must be completed within 60 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Key aspects of the project include: • Removing and disposing of the existing gates • Furnishing and installing new gates and gate operators • Ensuring the gates are designed to open or close with the assistance of rollers • Providing a standard latch to allow the gates to be locked from either side • Installing gate plumb on existing outer post and furnishing and installing two inner 6” galvanize post • Verifying the existing mounting posts are level and secure for the full opening size • Adjusting hardware for smooth operation • Complying with ASTM F1184, Type II, Class 2, and other relevant standards and regulations.
