The Baldwin County Board of Commissioners is seeking professional architectural services for the renovation of the Collins P. Lee Memorial Library. The project includes updating the interior and exterior of the library, including the addition of new spaces for reading, working, and community events. The selected firm will be responsible for providing all design services, including schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. The firm should have experience with similar projects and be able to demonstrate their capabilities to perform services appropriate for this project. Some key features of the project include: • Updated kitchen and restrooms • New flooring and interior walls • A reading area with modular furniture • Stacks for print materials and shelving for growth of the collection • A children’s area with stacks, seating, computer stations, and a story area • A stage or performance space • Staff and circulation services, including a circulation desk and staff workroom • ADA-compliant facilities • Upgraded HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems • Technology upgrades, including a data/network room • Meeting spaces and storage areas • Exterior improvements, including hardscape and landscape, windows, and doors
