El Paso Water (EPWater) is soliciting bids for 25% Sodium Chlorite for use in drinking water treatment. The Sodium Chlorite will be used to produce chlorine dioxide, which will be added to drinking water. A Chlorine Dioxide Generator produces chlorine dioxide using sodium chlorite and chlorine gas. The supplier shall provide a standard Certificate of Analysis for the product and an affidavit affirming that the product will comply with ANSI/NSF Standard 60 for Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals. • The Sodium Chlorite 25% must meet specific requirements, including a certain percentage of active and inactive ingredients, specific gravity, pH, and must not contain certain impurities. • The supplier shall be responsible for unloading and placement in a 10,000-gallon or 5,000-gallon fiberglass bulk storage tank. • Deliveries shall be accepted on Monday through Friday ONLY DURING THE HOURS OF 8:00 a.m. TO 2:00 p.m. • The supplier shall provide a summary of the firm’s understanding of the scope of services and describe any innovative approach to support EPWater staff and reduce costs.
