Description:
The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) is seeking information on Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities for their Pharmacy Point-of-Sale Electronic Claims Management System (POSECMS). The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gather insights and recommendations from vendors on how AI requirements can be incorporated into the POSECMS system. The RFI includes questions on current and emerging AI capabilities, application of AI across key functions, governance, transparency, and ethics, integration and interoperability, implementation and change management, and recommendations for requirements. • The RFI is not a solicitation to procure, but rather a platform to initiate discussion with the vendor community. • The requirements in this RFI are preliminary and may not be included in a future Request for Proposal (RFP) or other procurement vehicle. • Respondents are asked to provide a comprehensive and detailed account of their current capabilities and prospective development initiatives. • The RFI includes questions on the application of AI in areas such as call center facilitation and support, CRM functionality and workflow automation, claims adjudication and fraud/waste/abuse detection, and predictive analytics for medication adherence and clinical outcomes.
