The Washington County Public Works is seeking quotes from qualified consultants to complete the scope of work identified in this RFQ for the County Highway 12 and ISD 832 SRTS project. The project involves designing and constructing a trail along the south side of County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 12 from the Mahtomedi School Campus entrance, east to Inwood Avenue, and a trail segment from CSAH 12 to approximately 400-feet north, along the east side of the school entrance. The scope of work includes feasibility and alternative analysis, project coordination, data collection, utility coordination, and consultant coordination. The selected consultant will be required to provide a scope of work and fee that separates ISD 832 costs from County/City costs as well as separate fees for Phase 1 and Phase 2 work. Key aspects of the project include: • Developing a design that minimizes environmental impacts, construction costs, and addresses the existing gap in the trail network • Developing a design that appropriately manages stormwater in the project area • Developing a design that is supported by the County, City of Grant, and ISD 832 • Developing and executing a project schedule that allows this trail to be constructed in 2026 The project is expected to be completed in 2026, and the consultant will be required to provide a detailed scope of work, including tasks, hours, and fees for each phase of the project.
